The grocery store is an original watercolor that is located on Hwy 1, north of San Francisco. I painted a large one over 25 years ago, and I wanted to paint it again in a smaller size. It was fun to do as I love the textures of the shingles and signs. I call it "Little Man" as country western singer wrote a song about the little man (ma and pa stores) were being forced to close because of the massive malls being built back then. Today, it appears that these malls are now being forced to close!! Interesting turn-around!!!
