A person who is regarded as being deliberately ignorant or old-fashioned. But what is a person called who learns about something 'new' and merely dismisses it as personally unimportant? This is an 8.5 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art still asking himself and others the difficult questions here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Defiant stance with a look of conviction here, Charles ... and I actually had to look up "troglodyte" . Funny , it gave 3 different definitions ... and so I learned something new and I won't dismiss it : ) Best to you for a great holiday and new year !

Artist Reply: And so the overall meaning is rather convoluted. A guy who lives in a cave---well, that fits me to some degree. A person who holds on to 'old ways.' Well, that's me too in some ways. But never to the extent that I would embrace ignorance. Too many do that already, I think. Best to you as well, Dave. :)
