Awww Joanie! Yes. Newfoundlanders are great rescue dogs! They are powerful yet very compassionate and sensitive so it is a winning combination! A lot of dogs seem to have this innate desire to protect of children and seem to do whatever it takes to keep them from danger! Dogs are just so lovely!:)

Ah Joanie. A year and a half! So yes..imagine he is full of energy! Glad he is a sweet boy too. He looks it! Awww! Your son had a Newfoundlander! They are so calm, gentle and easy going! My type of dog! LOL

Artist Reply: YES SAMSON WAS A GRRAT DOG. MY GRANDDAUGHTER WHEN SMALL WAS MESSING IN A TUB OF WATER OUTSIDE AND SAMSON WAS PULLING HER AWAY TO SAVE HER. GREAT DOG.

Oh! I see in this one he is all grown up! He is certainly a handsome boy! I hope he knows it! I love animals and dogs are one of the cutests! My favorite dog is the Newfoundlander! It is large and likes to swim as it was bred as a fisherman's helper. They eat a ton and drool a lot soooo ha ha ha! I don't know. I live in a small apartment! Anyway, lovely photograph and beautiful dog!
