Early Photo work ala (Jerry Uelsmann style a wonderful Photographer) back before there was a photoshop you had to use film enlargers to project and print images from negatives and on Paper developed in chemicals.. but it was wonderful watching the images come up from the white base of the paper. Kodak Tri-X black and white film printed with the help of two separate enlargers with different negatives in them on Agfa black and White Paper developed in Kodak Dektol Print/Paper developing chemical. action halted by acetic acid bath and then put in a Fixer chemical to preserve the image on paper. Almost like the smell of napalm in the morning. LOL if you have not seen the work of Jerry Uelsmann you should go to his site of images. Excellent work and he used up to six enlargers for his work.
