I've always wanted to paint this canyon on the border of Georgia and Alabama, but I thought it would be too hard. I worked from photos and decided to do an abstract painting using the colors in the photos. Very quickly the painting actually looked like an actual landscape so I plugged away with it and was able to complete it to my liking.
