I have always been inspired by beautiful sunsets and all the feelings that they evoke with the lovely light effects . I am mesmorized by the effect of light on water. I love working in oil, a medium which suits the texture effects that I wanted to achieve in this small but powerful piece. The water plays host to the multitude of colours in the reflection. I love working in oil and with this impasto technique. I enjoyed playing with texture and light. I always enjoy playing with different techniques and materials and different scales. Sunsets have always interested me and there is always something new to learn.
