Omega institute blowing Conch shell

Ahgamen and Liz at Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. Ahgamen is getting ready for the ceremonial blowing of the conch shell. When everybody hears the call of the mighty conch shell, they know it is time for the meal. The conch call is the call for food in the dining hall. Ahgamen was the kitchen service staff manager and Liz was a kitchen worker. This is the years when Omega was first established, before Oprah and Madonna. Ahgamen Kyyboa started at Omega, Rhinebeck.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say mid to late 70's, looking at hair, attire, etc. I had, i think, my best times in the 70's and into the 80's but then, I was young and that's just something that goes with being young, Ahgamen. Nice photo. :)

Artist Reply: Thanks for comment. This was taken in 1987. Omega as a destination resort, opened in 1985. It's a place where it's more retro and hippie, but New Age.
