And so it goes and where it stops, nobody knows. This is a 7 by 5.5 inch piece on medium bond acid-free paper. Years ago I purchased some Faber Castell gel sticks which I never really used. This afternoon I wondered what would happen if I used them in conjunction with my new oil-based color pencils. This is the result of that experiment. It's something of a hybrid, I think. Sort of like Original Jones Art as he keeps telling himself he's no ordinary old dog here in northwest Austin, Texas.

You're at a "Lowe" point Such a wistful expression conveyed

Artist Reply: Yes, a slight imperfect reference to an old Nick Lowe song from the late 70's. Didn't figure anyone would catch that especially when I should have said, "But where it's going, no one knows." Maybe we are both fans of British Power Pop? Thanks for commenting, John. :)

I like the result of using the gel sticks with the colored pencils! Like the image too.

Artist Reply: Thank you, Ginger! I thought it had more the feel of a painting rather than your usual drawing. Headed out to take my second Moderna shot in a few minutes. Take care. :)

BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS--kURT VONNECUT jR... ."... AND SO IT GOES...SO IT GOES.... OR TODAYS CATCH PHRASE RESPONSE...WHATEVER.....GOOD ONE MY FRIEND....TODAY IS THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE HANGING OF Adolf Eichman...and so it goes...

Artist Reply: I used to read Vonnegut back in the day, Elton. Seems humans will never stop killing each other for the most inane and insane reasons. Thanks for the interesting comment. I'll add it to the long list of others. :)
