The first human point of contact one to another is via the eyes---at least usually. If one were blind, it might be via the voice instead. So they create a social, emotional or mental bridge over which a connection is made---or 'can' be made. Seems there's more mental interference nowadays. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil. This is the last piece of Original Jones Art for the month of March uploaded from northwest Austin, Texas.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Ray! I think that's why so many of my pieces have eyes, truthfully. Hope all is well. :)

Yes ,eye contact tells a lot BUT with these Covid masks on its difficult to see the person's reaction facially that tells a lot,is the person smiling, sneeking, laughing ,crying, needs some kind of facial look to go along with the eye contact. Its great your now enjoying things again..

Artist Reply: I think a lot of us had stopped really seeing each other long before the virus raised its ugly head. How else can you explain so much inhumanity? Hope is going great for you and yours across the pond, Al. :)

Artist Reply: Yes, I'm still here. Thanks for the condensed pep talk, Elton. Breathing better and sleeping better now---so hopefully that will translate to increased productivity. I even worked a little on a 3D piece today. :)

Cool!

Artist Reply: I think that's part of being laid-back, Mark. Thanks for commenting and I know you've been keeping yourself busy. :)
