It seems a slight smile is all I can muster lately. Usually, smiles come spontaneously in a face-to-face scenario but that person-to-person interaction has been missing in my daily life for a good while now. Humans, even this one, are social creatures who need that interplay of emotions and ideas. This is 6 by 4.25 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil. It's all Original Jones Art could muster here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Well Charles, actually to me this guy & your last guy both have the exact expression on there faces..but as far as interacting with the human race, nevermind ,just your neighbour, your boss, your kids, your family,,,,the world today is under SIEGE,we are imprisoned ,& the uncertainty of all this ,well we just don't know, myself ,I hope it was just a dream, but of course the reality is as Social being we miss the touching,to be able to see each other's expression, but we can't it's almost robotic in some ways,Let's all hope for all this dreaded Nightmare to end.,maybe the next time your guy will be expressionless, & the only way to do that is by wearing a mask light all of us ,he not being an exception,as he has been .,Yes I for one would like to see him join us ,,,feel what we have felt for the past,,yes ,!!! it has been a year..,,,So ,should he show his face,it's mandatory to wear a face covering like we all have to follow rules & regulations,,So Charles it's all up to you..,,hope your adhering to the rule your doctor stated to you,,,spray away from coffee..,till next time..Take care of yourself .

Artist Reply: Well, I've always tried to 'translate' whatever feelings I'm having at any given moment into something physical and viewable. And the less premeditation the better. So it's logical to assume there will be some repetition in my work during this trying time. Thanks, as always, Al and stay safe. :)
