The Reddish Egret offers so much in terms of subtle coloration and blending into his environment as he fishes in the shallow surf. This Egret usually spreads his wings and chases the bait fish covering them in a shadow then spearing them with their sharp beaks. They are about the size of the Great White Heron and much larger than the Snowy Egrets. Beautiful and graceful in their fishing dance,
