The Duluth Aerial Lift is located in Duluth, MN. Upon completion in 1905, the bridge was the first transporter bridge in the US, however, it was later successfully converted to a vertical-lift bridge in 1930. This bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 22, 1973, and continues to operate today.
