I was trying to organize a stack of drawings, etc., today and found this. I thought it was nice and colorful and since I've only been uploading black and whites lately, this would make a nice contrast. He looks so happy, he must be wearing his favorite pants. This is a 10 by approximately 6 inch gel pen drawing with color pencil. Maybe a look back to happier times for Original Jones Art as seen through the eyes of yesteryear here in Austin, Texas.

Your work is always interesting... a delight into the imagination!

Artist Reply: A most appreciated comment, Mark. I submitted some of my images to a rather well-known literary review recently. In fact, I submitted to four similar publications. Only this one deemed it necessary to reply, saying how much they enjoyed the pieces, BUT... The question for me was, if you enjoyed viewing them, doesn't that mean someone else might as well? Humans seem to absorb difference at a very slow metabolic rate such that it takes several generations for that difference to attain something close to appreciation. Happily, I will be long dead and won't have to hear the blathering. Hope you are doing great. :)
