The Iceman Cometh is a play by Eugene O'Neill that premiered just after WWII, though I think it was actually written in '39. Probably wasn't a lot of Broadway productions going on during the war. When I drew the sketch for this (and I will include the sketch in the project area) that title kept running through my head. I read the play in high school and though there have been several movie versions, I can't think of any I've actually seen. Maybe I should play catch-up and watch 'em now. This is a 12 by 16 inch acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. If it ain't original it ain't Original Jones Art in all its indomitable totally ignorable glory here in Austin, Texas, the city that ain't what it used to be. Ain't it great?
