Oil on Canvas 30 x 60 cm. Shows the mountain "The Mythen" overlooking the Lauerzersee in Kanton Schwyz painted on site during mid morning (Left AM) and mid afternoon (R PM). The challenge was to capture the fast changing light (each study - alla prima in under 2 hrs) and to make sure each achieved an acceptable merit (cos messing up one automatically fudges the other!). I hope to exhibit them in a group exhibition of the Guild of Swiss Alpine Painters in October with the theme "The mountain in the course of time". Hope the jury likes it.
