Ready for a channeltrip

Till the early 20th century, in our enverons, there were several big villas or even small castles along the channel some as summer-residence others for permanent habitation. Those well of people had usually a boat in the marina of Brussels, to make trips on the channels, some of them even had their own jetty in front of their house. The watercolour shows a stylish small, 15 meter long, steamyacht ready for departure. Behind there was a luxurious cabin with on top a sundeck. The boiler was amidships and the coal-stock in the front, they usually had one or two small lifeboats hanging in bows partially outboard. Apparently showing off may kost a bit.
