I haven't scanned the drawing this is based on but I will soon. The sketch itself was quick and without premedication or premeditation yet came to the paper wholly realized. I just knew this would make a good painting so I set it on my drafting table and awaited the right moment. The drawing was made in the fall of 2018. I just recently had the itch to paint it. This is a 16 by 32 inch acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. If this isn't Original Jones Art, I'm afraid I have fallen prey to that defecating madness going around in this wonderful city affectionately known as Austin, Texas.

I'm liking this big bold and beautiful

Artist Reply: I stretched that canvas almost two years ago and taped the sketch on my drafting table and looked at it for several months. Then when I decided to paint it, I'm happy to say it didn't fight me at all. It's very like the sketch and that doesn't always happen, as you probably understand, Charles. Thanks for commenting. It is much appreciated. :)
