Team sports and youth is where values can be learned. Developing a sense of honor and respect by playing competitively to win (beyond merely participating) is part of the maturing process. Choosing to move forward after a win or a loss is naturally progressive. Lying, cheating and crying are also part of growing up and are usually outgrown until it pays to stay that way in life or politics. America allows for the freedom to lie, but when lies are discovered we remember that fellow US citizens deserve compassion - but not positions of leadership involving matters of character.
