A fun, colorful piece using oil pastel crayon and a scraping technique. Layers of colors are built up, then revealed when the surface is carefully scraped with nothing more technical than a paper clip! This technique was used only to define details in the trees. For blending, I use an oil thinning medium and cloth/towel/fingers. Oil pastel on canvas board, 11" x 14"; 1994.
