"Uncontested," c.2014, is an ink/pen, on 11" x 14" canvas board piece. It is an illustration for a wonderful book of Love Poetry. I created this art piece for one of the illustrations in Rich Orth's love poetry book and this one is about his lovely and talented wife for his book, "Bloody Tis' My Valentine," c.2014.

Mark: beautifully complex piece. Congratulations.

Artist Reply: Will, I am such a fan of your artwork as well as all the others who have posted to my gallery!! You have such detailed work in yours that always makes me look closer to what you have created. So, I am honored that you enjoyed viewing my special talent,.....complex, detailed, cryptic, sometimes "beautiful" art pieces. I love suing this style and need to do more of them!!

That's a lot packed in there, Mark! Looks like it's love poetry with a little ghostly verse thrown in for balance. Very nice work. :)

Artist Reply: Thanks so much Charles! Yes it is creepy poems about love by an expert in Edgar Allen Poe's works. Rich Orth is a good friend of mine, and I truly consider his love poetry, macabre though it may be, as excellent work. He challenged me to come up with one of my ink art illustrations to tell the story about his wife after she was dead.

Fantastic pen and ink work!!! Love the touch of green!

Artist Reply: Thank you so very much, marie-claire, for you generous compliment. This is probably one of my best ink/pen pieces. I love creating pieces which contain a great deal of detail work. This one I did for Rich and LoraLee Orth. What a support group I have at Artwanted.com. Hugs to you!! :)
