If you are going to be a hybrid, you may as well be a happy one. ;) This is an acrylic painting measuring 12 by 16 inches on gallery-wrapped canvas. Original Jones Art.

I started out as a commercial artist and while I have an appreciation for what did here, I find it difficult to create much in the way of abstract and surreal. I have made a few attempts, but they were not well received.

Artist Reply: I guess you could say I started out as a poet, Stanley, and evolved into what I am today. :) I do what comes naturally (for me) and I am well aware that the rank and file don't usually get it. I neither dumb it down nor do I tawdry it up. Me, myself and I are the most critical members of my audience. ;)

OUTSTANDING Vibrant Work, Charles!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Artist Reply: I'm almost finished with another one, Chris! The weekends are my ART days. I moved up a size which takes longer. :) Thanks for the support!!

Beautiful work, Charles!

Artist Reply: Thanks, Daniel! I'm doing little but painting this year (a New Year's resolution) and hopefully am moving in a good-to-better direction. :)

incredible work charles!

Artist Reply: Hey, thanks, Curtis! I'm working up some 12 by 16's for a restaurant nearby. I have two pieces up already, Waiting for Do Do (on paper) and The Running Bird (on canvas) but they look small in the space. You think folks could eat pizza and look at this? :)
