Artist Reply: Thank you, cousin! I thought the photo reference was an amazing capture... I added just a bit of sepia tone to the pencil drawing to give it that older look.

This is a really great tribute to our servicemen!

Artist Reply: Thank you, John. My father-in-law served in the Navy back in those days. He's about 90 now. I hate to see so many of that generation pass away so quickly these days.
