Oil on canvas 16 x 12 Depiciting for the first time in colour this true event of private William Young saving his fellow officer in no-mans-land WW1, for which he recieved the Victoria Cross whilst still alive. I only had a black n white image to paint from and recreated the colour from archive photos. William Young was the great grandfather of a friend of mine. Commissioned piece, hope you like.
