Anthony, I believe your work can be understood as a direct and indirect painting overstatement which is good and bad at the same time. The positive aspect can be referred in contemporary terms, to the mastery of Lucian Freud. The counterpart comes around when the plastic language which you have chosen to speak through, becomes concealed and self referential.
