beautiful painting. I love the compostion with the big white frame of the shirt on the right and the way the smoke blends the two images together.

Artist Reply: Emily Reed, I am so glad you appreciate this fantasy portrait of a no less fantastic singer/songwriter from France who wore the yellow star during the war, A man that I admired for his originality and courage of conviction. Now he is no longer with us but through this portrait he lives in my best cousin's home, I know.
