Ranchos de Taos church gate

The Gate of the Ranchos de Taos church San Francisco de Asis ( Saint Francis of Assisi) Dramatic Black and White of the gateway of the mission church in Ranchos de Taos. San Francisco de Asis in Ranchos de Taos New Mexico It was the subject of four paintings by Georgia O'Keeffe, and photographs by Ansel Adams and Paul Strand. Georgia O'Keeffe described it as, "one of the most beautiful buildings left in the United States by the early Spaniards". It is made of adobe as are many of the Spanish missions in New Mexico.
