Victory

H.M.S Victory This image is the original copy of a famous English artist and shows the "Victory" and has served on all vessels which Lord Nelsen. I found this painting so fantastic that I just had to try to paint it. Oil on canvas 60x80 cm The still-existing Victory was the sixth ship of the Royal Navy to bear this name. 1758 the Minister of George II, an ambitious project for the construction of twelve new line of ships calling in life. At the top of the list was a ship - at that time still without a name - from 1 Wrestled with over 100 guns, which had to be built in Chatham. Already the following year it was expected that the keel was laid.

Finally ! I find someone on this site that KNOWS how to paint a Ship of the Line ! Congratulations on an awesome piece of work....actually SEVERAL pieces on your page ! Nelson, one of my favorite subjects, I have read all his biographies.
