Driving through the rolling hills of east Texas, I stopped to shoot a nice barn and nearby found a small herd of mixed breed cattle. There were several black cows that may be brangus and at least four calves that were a light tawny color. The bull shown in the lower image appeared to be a Charolais. This is just based on my very limited knowledge of cattle breeds but it was interesting to see the variation in the offspring.
