Barnacle tagalongs (humpback style)

photo of a humpback whale in a terminal dive- with several tagalongs on the tail- never seen barnacles attached to a whale before!!!

FANTASTIC PHOTO, AMY. I WOULD NOT HAVE THOUGHT THAT THE WHALE WOULD BE STILL ENOUGH TO GET BARNACLES. AMAZING.

Artist Reply: That is kind of what I was wondering... how they got there!!! But at least it does not hurt/injure whale- they are just free-loaders that use other surfaces to help them get food.
