During my trip I smiled a lot, but I think in Democratic Republic of Congo I learned that is VERY IMPORTANT to smile ever... and its MORE IMPORTANT TO SMILE when you have problems or anything makes you feel bad. This photo was taken in front of the church of Kyondo, last February. All that boys and girls where going to school, with their material in a plastic bag and a piece of wood to cook. Some minutes after we had to move quickly from this place because of the rebels. I never see so many people laughing and smiling in the same place. "What do you want us to do? smile is the only thing they can't take from us" - said to me a monk.
