Le Petit Rouge

An Oil painting of the famous Red Barons Fokker DR1 Triplane. Known as Le Petit Rouge the distinctive all red DR1 in partnership with the Baron was to be feared and respected in equal measure. This was the last plane in which Manfred Von Richthofen fought and was the one in which he eventually met his demise but not before he had added yet more to his total of victories bringing his final score up to eighty. 16in x 10in oil on canvas board

Wonderful work Jeremy, I love the detail in this...not an easy subject with old WWI birds are they!

Fabulous painting, Jeremy!

Artist Reply: Thanks so much for your compliment - The Baron made such a bold statement with his all red plane - he obviously feared no one.I hope i have done him justice.
