This photograph was taken when I was seventeen...quite a while back. it was only three weeks before my eighteenth birthday.. I was drafted and sent to Viet Nam, after 9 months of "kill" training in the Army...

Cool Photo,Mel...It must have been a trying Time.I can't Imagine the Story Afterwards...must have had some twists and Turns You could not have seen coming.Glad You made it Home.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Tim... Yeah, I was really scared, when I was drafted, giving up my freedom and having to train to do God knew what... But, I was SO happy, when I set foot on American soil after my year in Viet Nam was up...even though the American people didn't even want to hear from Viet Nam vets... Just happy that it was only a one tour deal...unlike today's soldier's who have to do it for several tours...
