Artist Comments: "I love boats! I enjoy painting in pastel; the colors, shapes and details of them, no matter what size. Here I depict one of the many smaller boats as it carries a ship pilot from shore to the large boat anchored in the deep waters at the mouth of the Columbia River. This is one painting in my ‘Astoria Waterfront’ series."
