"And Jack fell down and broke his crown..." That would have been his head/skull don't you think? He wasn't a king or crown prince or something equally ghastly. I have an idea that when humanity decides to put jewels of wisdom and knowledge above wealth and other material goods, then maybe it will begin to move forward and upward. As I see it now, we have folks putting garbage between their ears and are so damned ignorant they don't even 'know' it. They are like badly programmed computers spitting out a continual stream of gibberish. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art wonders if mankind isn't just some genetic experiment gone terribly wrong as he wastes away in northwest Austin, Texas.

On target sentiment especially now days. Great work Charles : )

Artist Reply: I have time now to think and draw. Most of my life I've spent trying to make ends meet, be a good employee, etc. And yet there probably hasn't been many days that I didn't find myself doodling away on some scrap piece of paper. That's a lot of days, Dave. Now I find that 'retirement' isn't the bed of roses a lot of people think it is---or will be. And there never will be enough time to play catch-up on all the things one wanted to do when young. Oh well. :)
