I've been giving all my energy to the 3D project the last few days but thought I'd do a small drawing to keep my hand in, you might say. This is a simplified gel pen, color pencil and charcoal drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. It measures 6 by 4.5 inches. Original Jones Art is feeling a bit 'grayed out' these days in northwest Austin, Texas.

Finely someone prove there is fine line in life...and sez this it all to good Charles;,D

Artist Reply: At least a .70 line, Ray. Of course, there are those who can't see the forest for the collard greens. Hope you are having a good one, Ray-man. :)

Saving on color and lines on his face make him a little more melancholy than usual.

Artist Reply: And yet the guy has a slight smile on his face, Nikolay. Just proves that art, like life, is a paradox. Hope all is good with you and yours. :)

i feel he isn't looking atme, instead i think he is staring at something or somebody behind me.. i can't help turning but failed to see anything special…

Artist Reply: I think he's trying to look over the rainbow that isn't there, Mr. Wu. He has an eye exam due, I think. Thanks for commenting. I saw a cat yesterday but it ran in the opposite direction. :)

Well he's earned his gray , Charles and can wear it proudly , Nice texture look on the face and body with simple yet effective color. Here's to a nice weekend, hope all is well in northwestern Austin : )

Artist Reply: It took a long time to fill in the colored areas with the cheap color gel pens i have, Dave. BUT i think it came out okay overall. Yes, a weekend in full swing. :)
