On a recent vacation to Springbrook..a favourite getaway, we stayed at an amazing house overlooking the Gold Coast hinterlands...rainforest, bush walks, wildlife...waterfalls. The beautiful house that we stayed in had fabulous artworks everywhere. Then there was this amazing coffee table in which the owner had painted Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" and under the glass table top had a collection of really curios..like keys, feathers old jewellery, and little sculptures. So I grabbed my camera and made a few compositions of her compositions..appropriation ..or is that just looking at her work through my own compositional techniques. Anyhows , as you can tell...I am also at the end of another exhausting year of university,( half way through!!) but not yet finished the year teaching. So there is time to finally post a few and try and catch up a bit :))
