Athena Lemnia

The Museo Civico Archeologico (Archaeological Museum) of Bologna occupies the building of an old hospital and is crammed with one of Italy's most comprehensive collections of antiquities. Of particular interest is a copy of the 5th-century Greek sculpture, Phidias's head of Athena Lemnia. The photos were taken on June 20, 2010.

only this photo of the whole object documents the original upright head in right position. I like to publish it in my article in Thetis, Heidelberg.
