I painted this at the request of a couple from Texas. What I loved about it was that it was 3 dimensional travelling inward. Instead of popping out it popped in and took me with it.
I thought it was a photo too. You're right: the three-dimensional quality really draws you in. The clear water is amazing. Very nicely done.

I feel very lucky to be able to create that effect. And sea scapes are so freeing compared to portraits. You get to visit the canvas all over. gives you more space when working.
