Artist Reply: Hi Emilia. I grew up in Africa and lived on a farm where I was exposed to the closeness of nature. So yes, its in my blood and I cannot think of painting anything else that does not have connections back to my roots. This is possibly why I paint, so that I can hang onto those memory strings.
