Gesso is my favorite word. It is how we prepare a canvass for painting and gives us time as we apply this base coat to contemplate what we are about to do. I did this to my garden yesterday, tilling it and laying out the paths and thinking what was to come!

Well, aren't you smart! Laying out the paths and mulching them so you do not have to pull weeds!!!Expectations are running high! The cucumbers could climb up the Bamboo... :-) Ah, I miss a big garden. I cut down to raised beds for awhile... now I just have a container garden.

Artist Reply: Thank you, Julie, I have been a gardener for a long time! Nothing wrong about container gardens, I love them! keep them watered and fed!

wow, you have such nice soil. it's mostly clay here.. lot's of raised gardens. soil envy. what fun!

Artist Reply: Thanks, Nancy. Americans move around a lot. The average being every seven years! I have lived here for 40 years, a lot of time to improve the soil!
