There is a lot of sophistication to this work. And it does evoke work from Egypt (the hundred arms of RA). The background creates negative space, which is treated nicely with clouds of varying shades. Thanks for sharing.
Artist Reply: Thanks David yes I am inspired by ancient egypt and a thousand arms of lord Vishnu so mixed them into desires to god.... thanks for your kind comments
Great surrealism in the painting! The many hands, especially those attached to the sun (?), reminds me of Egyptian art during the reign of Akhenaten and Nefertiti (around 1300 BCE). Would you mind explaining a little of your thought behind the symbolism of the painting? I am especially intrigued by the "humanoid-looking" tree with an enigmatic face attached to it. Also, I feel that one can certainly "read" in some spiritual/philosophical analogies into the work...it, most obviously, has that kinda depth to it. Wonderfully rendered image!
Artist Reply: Many thanks X-Chel, yes u r right inspired by Aton and Lord Vishnu's hands from Hinduism, these are a thousand desires and the work shows them being fulfilled by the supreme force in the form of a disc, yes there is a lot of spiritualism attached to this work, my inner most thoughts, things that I could not say have spread it out here, the face is in the form of a diamond showing feeling of being pacified by the hands of none other than GOD.......Tree of course have made it in the form of a tree with branches out to sun....
wow, there is in this piece a powerful passion, and even melancholy wonderings; a mind so clever to be bursting with such profound thought provoking images. wonderful work!!!~
Artist Reply: Many thanks Joanna, u have actually captured the gist of it......
