i shall send this to my mother as an ecard. for surely she feels the same... we just buried my father a veteran of 3 wars this summer. this image touched me deeply. thank you for pulling together all the emotion of our history and memories into this...

Just me searching the scene, I think this is beyond excellence! from the heart of love!!! burns with memory n passion n pain n joy...all things in one. I do not see the images consumed... they live in the mind n soul warm with feeling!!! Realism n surreal collide in a fusion of emotion!!! May your journey take U with Godspeed to all things of love through peace...CB
Artist Reply: Hi Christine.....
Thanks for the In-Depth comment.....seems your "right on"....on all your comments to my work.....Very Insightful of you!!!
sometimes we have to burn bridges or risk forever seeking to return to our past...even so...we gaze longingly across those haunted shores at the dreams we left behind. with such richness of detail in the foreground i find the background somewhat empty, void. excellent work nonetheless.
This is upsetting at first, till you read the description. A tribute to memores...It is a great image and a wonderful idea...I probably would have encased it in ice--frozen in time--maybe stone, an epitaph...this is unique. Love it.
Not sure I know where you're going with this one. Is it nationalism? or is it a protest? I can't even figure out if it's as didactic as I think it is...
