WOW, WHAT A BEAUTY! ALL THAT MOSS...

How wonderful to have this big mature Apple tree that produces 5 varieties of apples! 5 x the enjoyment, and only one tree! Beautiful moss... is it detrimental to the tree at all?

And I think I spot an old banana peel on the ground..were you having a snack in the tree?

Artist Reply: What a sharp eye you have, Annette! I keep a compost pile about 4 feet from this tree.!

40 years old, Jerry? Wow!. Well, I don't know how many time is "normal" but I was so proud because my PERAL (=pear tree) is 25 years old. BTW my friends use to say PERAL-JAIMA :-). "JAIMA", tent used by nomads. It's a GIANT and usually the branches are broken due to the weight of the fruit. Maybe I'll post one photo I took last Summer.------ Wishing you best of health, brave guy. Get well soon. I love your courage and sense of humor. Hugs from northwestern Spain.

Artist Reply: Armando, thanks for the nice comment! I love all of Spain! Met my wife in Barcelona (she is English) about 45 years ago, so I have fond memories of Spain! My "battle" is supposed to take 8 months and I have every intention of winning it, I am a Klingon at heart!
