Artist Reply: Hello there Frank! How are you over there on the frozen pond? It's still snowing here in France and show no signs of going away. A bit of a hangover from the Washington blizzards I suppose. America sneezes and Europe catches a cold!!!!! In fact it's bitterly cold at the moment. Brr! Yes, this is a portrait of my nephew, Joe. He's a very handsome lad and clever too. I'm trying to do a series of Fauvist style paintings on paper for an exhibition later on this year. Portraits and landscapes and still life etc. Have you been doing much painting? Well boyo, we'll be going back to Wales soon. We miss our celtic mountains (amongst other things).
