Marie Masquerade

Marie Masquerade - most likely inspired by my recent artist retreat to France - Marie Antoinette - the doomed queen, dressed with her over-the-top Rococo glory - sailing ship hair adornment - magnificent hairstyle, lush makeup and her not-very-concealing masquerade mask! I love this painting, it really looks awesome in person. Her big eyes gleam out of the gloom, it really is lovely. My own original acrylic painting. prints are available at http://www.strangeling.com and http://zazzle.com/strangeling*

I love your work! Very hard to try to pick just one piece to comment on! I like the moody feel of this one, and the historical aspect is a nice touch ;)
