Hummingbird stops for a drink. West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This was taken with a hand-held camera loaded with 50 ASA Fuji Velvia. The wings should have been a complete blur, but I must have snapped the image at the point of the change from the end of the reverse stroke. I did not have much time to react as these moments when the birds hover for a drink last 2-5 seconds at the most. The backlighting helped to keep the exposure very brief.
