Pastel & Ink on Sugar paper 30 x 40. Signed 1994. The small village of Vaudanoux in the Val d'Ibie has changed since I painted this picture. The buildings are obscured by trees and the windows boast new frames and shutters. Greek-Roman remains date back to VI AD in the form of pottery and ornaments. The village is typical of the Ardèche region of France.

Great perspective and a real sense of the rustic and ancient buildings of this region. The hint of colour works very well with the pen and ink. Lovely work!Anneke Hut 12 Oct 2009
Marvellous pen and ink drawing, I love the touch of colours and the beautiful shading.
