Innocent Beauty

This is my first attempt at drawing a pencil portrait from a photograph of my niece. I welcome any comments, pointers or tips to help me with future drawings.

The back ground could be a little darker but over all a very good drawing!!! Great work on the eyes!! can't Wait to see more!!

it is a good pencil work and as to the face shadowing is doing fine, but the background did not share the same attention. That would have to be a bit darker and more pronounciated. Anyway a formidable starter

i think it's beautiful....try using either coal or a black pencil to shade in those really dark areas so it can give the picture a bit more depth. obviously you draw alot but for a first portrait of a person, this is simply an amazing piece, congrats! keep it up!!!!
