My first sighting of a cuckoo was along the wooded limestone bank of Turtle Creek in the middle of Dallas, Texas.

GREAT these guys can be tough to get a shot of Their so private and hide low in the trees and foliage. Pretty spot he landed too. WOW

Artist Reply: thanks for the info, Deborah...surprising to even identify it since I have never even heard of them here in north Texas; would not have seen it but for the rusty patch on the wings and it was in partial shade when flying a short distance.
