" Elementos De Mi Fe " was created for the "Dia de los Muertos "celebration held yearly in Mexico city . This piece was on exhibit at the Centro Cultural Aztlan gallery here in San Antonio, Texas. The Virgin De Guadalupe is portrayed with the cross to symbolize my core beliefs. The four skulls represent the " candy skulls" that are made specifically for this event. The roses alongside with the marigolds are representational of life. ( which are associated with the day of the dead). The sun and moon were added to show the daily cylce by which we live by, and also representational in thatin the after life there is no presence of time, only eternity.
